African Braids, Cornrows and Dreadlocks in Tyumen — by a Braider from Africa

My name is Aceiro and I'm from Angola. I've been braiding for over 10 years — not from courses, but the way it's done back home in Africa. I'm the only African-born braider in Tyumen.

Aceiro Afoito — master braider from Angola

10+ years of braiding · Angola → Tyumen

Braids learned from childhood, not from a course

In Angola, girls learn to braid before they learn to read. I grew up with braids in my hands: first my sisters and neighbours, then clients — and that was more than ten years ago.

The difference is in the details: the right tension so your head never aches, tight braiding that doesn't frizz, and partings that stay razor-straight until the very last day of wear.

No weekend course can teach this — it's a technique passed down hand to hand.

Why “authentic African braids” isn't just a phrase

01

Technique from the continent

I braid the way it's done in Angola: tight, fast and painless. The right tension is a skill that takes years to build.

02

Your hair stays intact

Braids don't break hair when the braider knows what she's doing. My clients take their braids down and come back — hair in perfect shape.

03

An honest price, no surprises

Kanekalon is always included in the quote. The price I give you before braiding never changes afterwards.

04

Lasts longer

Tight African braiding wears for 1.5–2 months without frizzing — you can see the difference by week two.

No. I braid with the right tension — your hair won't break or shed more than usual. Back home in Angola, people wear braids from infancy. The key is a careful take-down, which I do as well.

Not with me. Pain comes from over-tightened braids — that's a braider's mistake. My braiding is firm but comfortable — many clients doze off in the chair.

Box braids and dreads — 1.5–2 months; zizi — 1–1.5 months with the option to re-braid; cornrows — 2–4 weeks; afro curls — 2–4 weeks.

Cornrows — 1–3 hours, box braids and dreads — 3–6 hours, zizi — 4–6 hours. I'll give you an exact time after seeing a photo of your hair.

Yes, I braid children from 4–5 years old — gently, with breaks, no tears. Kids' styles are lighter and quicker than adult ones, from 1,800 ₽.
